Today we made these little bird nests - inspired by candy sent from Grammy and Pappy. :) The girls had so much fun making them - and eating them!
1 c. sugar
1 c. corn syrup
1 c. peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
5 c. cheerios
Boil the sugar and corn syrup together for 1 minute. Stir in the peanut butter and vanilla. Stir in the cheerios and shape little nests on wax paper. Let them cool. Then put little malted milk eggs in the nests - jellybeans would be fine too. Then we melted the bottoms of the marshmallow chicks so that they would stick to their eggs and not fall off! :)
