Looking ahead to advent...

I finally decided to start on a project that I've been wanting to do for the past several years. Each year for our family devotions during the month of December, we do a devotional that has an ornament to go along with each day. Up until now, we've just used paper ornaments that I made quickly, and aren't so nice anymore. I've been wanting to make nicer ornaments that we can keep from year to year. So we finally started on it!

The little ones each made their own star ornaments too.

We call Joshua our "little baby burrito" when he's all wrapped
like this. :) He really likes to be swaddled. Any time he is having
trouble falling asleep, or just seems restless, wrapping him up all
cozy and snug usually calms him right down. :)

You know Daniel really loves his little brother if he shares his two most treasured
possessions with him. :)

Moon Cookies

Hannah has been learning about the moon lately, so this week we decorated cookies to look like the different phases of the moon.  Sarah and Daniel had fun decorating cookies too!

On this picture, Hannah, Sarah, and Daniel were playing that bears
were trying to get them, and they were climbing trees to get away. :)

Sarah: "Look Mommy, Daniel is PopPop, and I'm MomMom, and we're
driving our tractor!
Then Daniel and Sarah went on to play for quite awhile - Daniel called
Sarah "MomMom",  and she called him "PopPop"!

This was so funny - Hannah and Sarah were wearing their fancy dress-up dresses,
winter hats, one mitten each, scarves, and boots - and Hannah was helping Sarah
read short words from a chart!  I'm not sure exactly what they were playing, but
it was really cute!
