The Xia Family

When George and Miranda Xia (from China) brought their children, Fiona and Silas to Lustre almost 2 years ago, we enjoyed having them over to our house for dinner.  Just recently, they returned to Lustre for Fiona's graduation, and we were so happy to see them all again. We have gotten to know Fiona quite well, and she was also one of Sarah's leaders in Awana, so we will all miss her alot!  Fiona will be studying to be a nurse at Iowa State University.

Miranda with Joshua - he actually wasn't very shy to her, even
though he usually doesn't let anyone else hold him for ver long!

We love you Fiona, and will miss you a lot!

Kitties!

Our cat Meows had her kittens last night. The kids were very happy that she had them before we left for our trip. :)  And Dan was pleased that she actually decided to have her kittens in the cat house that he built!

Six kittens!

Happy Birthday Hannah!

We had a lot of fun having an early birthday party for Hannah last night!

Mother's Day

I am so blessed to be the mother of these 4 little ones!

Ants!

The girls did a little experiment with ants this week.  We tested various substances (toothpaste, soap, hair gel, garlic powder, and syrup) to see which one would work best to keep ants away from jam.  It seemed like hair gel worked the best. :)

The ant hill - made of pine needles!

Happy Birthday Cade!

This week we had a birthday party for our neighbor, Cade.  The kids really enjoyed it and I think Cade did too. :)

It's Spring!

We were able to get an early start in the garden this year!

Sarah did a great job of covering up the potatoes after we planted them!

Happy Easter!
