Octopus and Ocean

This week we've been studying the ocean and different animals that live there. We've had a lot of fun learning about different animals and making our own ocean mural for the wall!
Finger-painting the background of our ocean mural

A sea urchin!

The girls loved making these shell picture frames

Fun in the Snow!

Snow Angels!

We already had enough snow to build a snow fort!

The front of the snowfort made a great slide!

Happy Birthday, Sweet Sarah!

We ended up having quite a crowd for Sarah's birthday party - Pastor John and
Sharon, Cade, Mr. Butler (the music teacher), and the dorm parents daughters,
Megan and Miranda. We had a wonderful time!

A big-girl water bottle - just like Hannah's!

Fun connectagons from Grammy and Pappy

A sweet little diaper bag for her baby from MomMom and PopPop

Making Christmas Ornaments

On Sarah's birthday we had a snow storm, and it was too cold and windy to be outside, so we made some Christmas ornaments instead!

Soft pom-pom balls - we just stuck them to a styrofoam ball
with straight pins!

Just some pictures....

Dan and Hannah looked so nice together this Sunday morning!

The girls having fun with some pumpkins from Aunt Sharon

Snuggling with Daddy

Having lots of fun with Fiona, one of the dorm students!

Dressing up for Awana

One night not too long ago, everyone was supposed to dress
up like a Bible character. The girls loved that!

"Mary"
"Queen Esther"

Taking Pictures!

This was about the best I could do to get them all looking and smiling at once!

Sweet Little Buddy

Daniel just adores his fuzzy stuffed lamb. He carries it around the house and
tries to get it out of the crib if we forget to get it out for him.

Sweet!

I was trying to take some pictures of the little ones in the house,
and they just didn't turn out very well, but Daniel's little
face is so sweet on this one that I kept it anyway. :)

One day I had cookies sitting all over the table. Daniel dragged over a plastic
tote and climbed on top of it so he could see what was going on. Then he
said, "Mmmmmm!"

Studying our Senses!

The unit on our senses was probably one of the most fun things we've done in school this year so far. Each day we did a different sense, and did some fun activities to go along with it......tasting, smelling, listening....
On the day we studied the sense of touch, I put different things inside of balloons
for the girls to feel and guess what was inside.  They loved this, and now, about 2 weeks
later, the balloons are still being carried around the house!

I also had different textured materials glued onto paper plates for
them to step on with bare feet.  Daniel really got into this too!

One of the things we did when we studied the sense of hearing was making musical
instruments. The girls had a great time, and kept on singing long after we were
done with school for the day!
