Back in Snowy Montana

There is so much snow here that the deer are coming in to our yard to
nibble on the trees. We figure they must be getting low on food.

We came back to Montana to find about twice as much snow as when we left! We've been told that we've gotten 60 inches this year, and if we get another foot this winter, it will be more than they've ever gotten here! I guess we're getting a real initiation to Montana winters!

MomMom and PopPop's House

Reading stories with MomMom

Enjoying a treat from PopPop!

I love MomMom and PopPop!

We got to spend a good bit of time at my family's house as well, which we really enjoyed.

Dinner at the Hackenberger's

At first, Hannah was scared of Uncle Scott, but after he gave
her some candy, she warmed up pretty quickly! :)

Hannah and Sarah both had fun riding on the wooden
rocking horse that Scott made for Cory when he was little.

Mary played her beautiful new harp for us.

Aunt Julia

Hannah and Julia had alot of fun making peanut butter cookies all by themselves!
Julia is a really good little baker!

Playing dress up!

Uncle Rich and Aunt Angela

We stayed at Rich and Angela's house while we were back in PA. We were so grateful for their willingness to open their home to us on such short notice.  Hannah and Sarah got to know their aunt and uncle much better, which was a lot of fun to see. The girls also had fun getting to know Ralph and Lucy, the 2 cats who live in the basement! :)

Uncle Mike and Aunt Trisha

One evening we went to Michael and Trisha's house for dinner.  Hannah got warmed up to Uncle Mike and even sat on his lap for awhile! We enjoyed spending time with them, and it was nice to see how they have fixed up their home too.

Dan's Family

Marsha spent a lot of time reading to Hannah, which they both
enjoyed very much.  Hannah's favorites were Corduroy's Button and
the Little Blue Engine that Could.

Making sugar pie with Grammy

One afternoon, Hannah was so tired that she fell asleep on Grammy's lap and slept there for two hours.

Ben, Dan, and Sam.....one weekend that we were in PA, all of Dan's brothers were home. That was special for them.
We also got to meet Mike's wife, Jessica, for the first time.

Hannah enjoyed being able to spend some time with her cousins, Alivya and Ellie

In the Airport

The girls did well with the long ride to the airport and the flights back to PA. One of the airports even had a play area at the gate we were waiting at! That was really nice for the girls!

Dan's Mom

Just a few weeks ago, Dan's mom was diagnosed with cancer - gastrointestinal stromal tumors.  The cancer is not as bad as we originally thought, but still very serious. She will be taking Glevac, which is supposed to shrink the tumors, and then they plan to do surgery. We ask for your prayers on behalf of Marsha, that the Lord would do a work of healing in her body.
We just arrived back from a trip to PA. We got to spend time with Marsha and the rest of Dan's family, and also with my family. It was a really special time for us. The next few posts will be pictures from our trip.

Christmas Vacation

Last night the girls were running through the house hand in hand - it was so sweet!  All the time and effort we put into helping them learn to be kind to each other is definitely worth it!

The legos that Hannah and Sarah got for Christmas has been one of their favorite things to play with!

We've had a wonderful time as a family, with Dan being home for the last week and a half. The girls will miss him when he goes back to school on Monday!
