Bucketfuls of Prettiness

This morning while we were picking the garden, I told the girls to go ahead and pick as many flowers as they wanted because it might frost tonight.  They got their little buckets and filled them with flowers, then Hannah walked over and said, "Look Mom, a whole bucket full of prettiness!"

Late Summer Joys....

Bowlfuls of produce from our garden......
teeny, tiny flowers picked by little hands.....
 making applesauce together.....

Happy Birthday Daniel!

It's hard to believe that our little boy is already one year old! He's growing up so fast! He can stand up by himself now, and he is just so happy with himself when he's standing without holding onto anything. He has taken a few teeny, tiny steps. And he is starting to say a few words - mama, dada, Hannah, balloon! (I had balloons hanging up for his birthday, and he kept pointing at the and now he points at them and says "booo"!) He loves tractors and anything with wheels, and loves to drive them around the floor and make tractor noises. Daniel loves animals too - especially our cats! It's so much fun watching him grow up and learn new things. We love our little sweetie!

It was so funny watching Daniel eat his cake - for awhile he just looked at it and he
would lay his hands on it and then take them off, and kept doing it over and over.

He did eat a little of his cake (maybe about 3 tiny bites!) but mostly he just
enjoyed squeezing it in his hands and spreading it all over his high chair!

School Days

We are all enjoying the beginning of school here. Hannah is doing really well and liking school alot, and Sarah joins us for some of the activities too. The first week our focus was on Creation, and as you can see, we had fun making a little book that showed what God created each day.....

The second unit, our focus was on the sun, so we did some activities like making sun tea.....
drying grapes in the sun :)......
 and making a sundial.
